To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we will be sharing stories throughout the year from our community about FRESHFARM. We caught up with Larry Tse, whose work at FRESHFARM while in college launched his farming and food systems career that is still thriving over ten years later.

As FRESHFARM marks its 25th Anniversary, the FoodPrints program just wrapped up its 17th year of growing, cooking, eating, and learning with students across DC. As we reflect on this school year and look ahead to next, we are so grateful to all of the FoodPrints advocates in our school communities and beyond that support the continued growth of our program.

June 20-26, 2022 is Pollinator Week - an annual event celebrated internationally. Desi Crouther, owner of Magnolia Farm & Apiary, shares how Pollinator Week raises the awareness of pollinator importance and health and provides an opportunity to become better informed about what we can do to protect pollinators throughout the year.

Check out how FoodPrints’ exciting new collaboration with FRESHFARM’s Pop Up Food Hub has led to a school-based farm stand at Whittier Elementary. This awesome new partnership benefits the whole community by bringing nutritious, affordable food options to the Whittier students, families, and staff while also increasing sales for regional farmers.
