During COVID-19, the Pop-Up Food Hub is delivering fresh produce directly from farmers to the families who need it most.

We very much miss working with our partner school communities while school is closed! However, we are taking advantage of this time to create online resources to maintain continuity of learning for students and to extend and enhance our in-school curriculum for at-home learners of all ages (while continuing to cook and garden at home!).

Our school gardens may be quiet places in the chilly February air -- our crops dormant as they await warmer spring weather to grow tall and strong. But walk inside any FoodPrints classroom throughout the city, and you’ll see bright, bustling places where winter’s gray skies don’t interrupt the learning and fun.

Throughout the month of January, students, parents, and staff members shared their favorite memories and stories from their experiences with the FoodPrints program.

Members of the FRESHFARM team attended the annual Future Harvest CASA Conference to learn how our community can help direct our food system to a more sustainable future.

In 2019, FRESHFARM launched its first FoodPrints Afterschool program at Kimball, Marie Reed, and Burroughs elementary schools.

Hands-on activities that utilize rescued pumpkins teach students of all grade levels about sustainability, plant science, and math while they engage in the many ways to study and eat a pumpkin.
