“FoodPrints has made a difference in the way I look at food”
Last night, FoodPrints 2nd grade student Fiona Leavitt testified in front of DCPS Interim Chancellor Amanda Alexander at the DC Public Schools Fiscal Year 2020 Budget Hearing.
“At my school, FoodPrints is important because it connects to learning about math, nature, reading, writing, and art … and I look forward to the food surprise every month! FoodPrints has made a difference in the way I look at food. Now, when I look at a carrot, I see all parts are edible. You eat the carrot, but did you know you can eat the leaves too? You can make them into yummy pesto! Please fund FoodPrints for my school and other DCPS schools.”
