Red Velvet Smoothie

A bright magenta treat that will win over even beet skeptics.

Ingredients:

1 frozen banana

1 small to medium beet, chopped (raw is fine if you have a high powered blender, if not then steam or roast the beet first)

3/4 cup milk of your choice

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

2 dates

Ingredients:

Directions:

Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.  Add more milk or water if needed to reach your desired consistency.

You can substitute mango for the banana if you don’t like banana flavor.
