Potomac Vegetable Farms

Potomac Vegetable Farms began in the early 1960’s, when Tony and Hiu Newcomb started farming in rented ground in Fairfax County, Virginia. With no farming experience, and little cash, Tony and Hiu worked part time until becoming full time farmers a decade later, and in 1991, the farm was certified organic. Today, in addition to offering organic vegetables, the farm is working on educational outreach, programming to build community, and creating a vision that goes beyond growing, as “we try to do our part to improve and sustain the health of our environment, our neighbors and our society.”
