Executive Director

FRESHFARM has begun the search for our next Executive Director! We’re looking for a leader who is deeply committed to building a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food future and someone who can drive strategic growth, champion regional food systems, and strengthen our impact across the Mid-Atlantic.

Pop-Up Food Hub (PUFH) Operations Associate

Pop-Up Food Hub (PUFH) Operations Associates are responsible for supporting the operations of the PUFH by fulfilling deliveries to program partners in the organization’s vehicles, assisting with all at-market operations of the food hub, and managing the equipment used by the PUFH. Operations Associates will be supervised by the PUFH Operations Manager.

Successful candidates will have 1 year of relevant work experience in operations/logistics or delivery, be creative and flexible problem solvers, and are not afraid to work outdoors and get down and dirty with the local food system.

Farm Stand Operator

Farm Stand Operators are responsible for the effective weekly operations of one or more of FRESHFARM’s Farm Stands, as a part of the Farmers Market program. Our Farm Stands are small outdoor markets that serve as points of access for fresh, healthy produce for local communities. Farm Stand Operators are recruited from the communities served by the Farm Stands to provide food access services that effectively meet the needs of local residents, and are responsible for executing farm stand operations, communicating with farmers, partners, and customers, creating a vibrant and friendly farm stand, and ensuring accurate reporting and use of food assistance benefits programs.

Successful candidates will be creative problem solvers, clear communicators, collaborative team members, and excited to work in a customer-facing role in an outdoor setting as a part of an enthusiastic & collaborative team. The ideal candidate has deep ties or experience in the farm stand’s local community. We are currently seeking Farm Stand Operators to work at the Kenilworth Rec Center, Cesar Chavez, and Simon Elementary Farm Stands.

SUNBucks Call Center Associate or Bilingual Associate

Ready to flex your customer service skills to pioneer FRESHFARM’s first year operating the SUNBucks hotline? Apply to join our team as a SUNBucks Call Center Associate! Associates will respond to SUNBucks and other program inquiries via our phone hotline, supporting DC residents in navigating the variety of food access programs in the District. By handling both inbound and outbound customer communication and tracking call data in a remote environment, Associates will play a key role in supporting local community members’ ability to access fresh, affordable food. FRESHARM is seeking up to eight full-time Associates for the 2025 season.

SUNBucks Call Center Manager

Are you an effective team leader with a strong customer service background? Leverage your skills to help FRESHFARM pioneer our first year operating the SUNBucks hotline as a Call Center Manager! For the 2025 season, FRESFHARM is seeking two, full-time Managers to supervise a team of Associates in a remote environment; this team will be responsible for responding to SUNBucks and other program inquiries via our phone hotline, supporting local community members’ ability to access fresh, affordable food. Managers will also collaborate with DC state agencies to enhance service delivery and hotline operational efficiency in order to best support DC residents understanding of and access to SUNBucks and other federal and local food assistance programs.

Food Access Associate or Bilingual Food Access Associate

Do you love farmer’s markets and local food? Have a knack for learning and teaching others about technology? Apply to be a Food Access Associate with FRESHFARM!
We are seeking part-time two Associates to support our food access programs, customers, and participating farmers and producers by facilitating customer enrollment and program usage, both virtually and at local markets in Washington, DC. Successful candidates will be passionate about our food access work, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to quickly gain proficiency with & provide users of all skill levels with support using new technologies. We are seeking at least one Associate who is bilingual in Spanish/English; if the second associate is bilingual in Spanish and/or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese), that would be a plus.

FoodPrints Classroom Assistants (Spring Semester 2025)

Interested in growing your food education skills? FoodPrints is looking for interns, volunteers, and/or Federal Work Study students to join our program as Classroom Assistants! FoodPrints Classroom Assistants work directly with FoodPrints Lead Teachers to facilitate preschool – 5th grade classes that provide hands-on experiences for local students to grow, harvest, cook, and eat nutritious, fresh, local, and seasonal food. We are currently seeking Classroom Assistants to support the work of the FoodPrints program at one or more partner schools in Washington, DC during the Spring 2025 semester. Learn more about this opportunity and apply today!
