Executive Director
FRESHFARM has begun the search for our next Executive Director! We’re looking for a leader who is deeply committed to building a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient food future and someone who can drive strategic growth, champion regional food systems, and strengthen our impact across the Mid-Atlantic.
The Executive Director will work closely with our talented team, board, and partners to cultivate a thriving local food economy and empower communities with the knowledge and agency to access local, nutritious food.

Sponsorship Coordinator
Are you passionate about farmer’s markets? Do you have experience in marketing or sales in a business-to-business environment? Apply to join FRESHFARM’s Development Team as our new Sponsorship Coordinator! This Coordinator will serve as the primary contact with paid sponsors and community table partners participating in our farmers market network across DC, Virginia, and Maryland. Through their work, they proactively promote and secure sponsorships from businesses that can benefit from repeat exposure at our markets through short-term sponsor engagements and community tabling opportunities and work closely with our Director of Strategic Investments on strategy, planning, marketing outreach and contracts.

Farm Stand Operator
Farm Stand Operators are responsible for the effective weekly operations of one or more of FRESHFARM’s Farm Stands, as a part of the Farmers Market program. Our Farm Stands are small outdoor markets that serve as points of access for fresh, healthy produce for local communities. Farm Stand Operators are recruited from the communities served by the Farm Stands to provide food access services that effectively meet the needs of local residents, and are responsible for executing farm stand operations, communicating with farmers, partners, and customers, creating a vibrant and friendly farm stand, and ensuring accurate reporting and use of food assistance benefits programs.
Successful candidates will be creative problem solvers, clear communicators, collaborative team members, and excited to work in a customer-facing role in an outdoor setting as a part of an enthusiastic & collaborative team. The ideal candidate has deep ties or experience in the farm stand’s local community. We are currently seeking Farm Stand Operators to work at the Kenilworth Rec Center, Cesar Chavez, and Simon Elementary Farm Stands.

Our farmers and producers frequently share job openings with us. The following market farmers and producers currently have positions available. Please note, these are NOT FRESHFARM positions; you would be hired directly by the vendor. Please direct all questions regarding these positions to the vendors themselves.
Farm Staff – Shepherd’s Whey Creamery
Shepherd’s Whey Creamery is looking for help with their dairy operations at their Martinsburg, WV, farm. Full-time position duties would include milking shifts twice daily, baby feeding, general animal care, and milk pick ups at our two supplying dairies two or three times a week using our vehicle and our trailer. Position that was recently vacated was a live on the farm full time job, but open to job sharing if a full-time single person can’t be found. Shared housing on the farm is available, and preferred. Shepherd’s Whey is looking for someone who can commit to staying through mid December. Farm or dairy experience is preferred, but will train the right person willing to learn. Additional help in the creamery with cheese making tasks is also an option for someone looking for this type of experience.
